Important safety information

  • The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain, most often when starting or increasing the dose.
  • Do not use it if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer, or if you have multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN 2). Tell your provider about any neck lump, trouble swallowing or hoarseness.
  • Serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration and allergic reactions. Severe stomach pain that does not go away needs urgent care.
  • Not for use during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Tell your provider before any surgery or procedure with anesthesia.
  • Compounded dosing is measured differently from brand-name pens. Follow the dose and volume on your pharmacy label exactly; dosing errors are the most common problem the FDA reports with compounded GLP-1s.
  • Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective for 4 weeks after starting and after each dose increase. Ask your provider about a backup method.
  • Compounded medications are prepared by a state-licensed 503A pharmacy for an individual patient. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are dispensed.
  • Injections go under the skin with a small needle, following the written directions that come with your prescription. Common effects include redness, stinging or a small bump where you inject. Never share or reuse needles, and use a sharps container.

Prescription only. A licensed provider reviews your health history in an online visit and decides whether this program is appropriate for you. Tell your provider about every medication, supplement, allergy and condition, and whether you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding. If you have a severe reaction, trouble breathing, chest pain or swelling of the face or throat, call 911.

Straight answers about Tirzepatide.

How much is tirzepatide at The Good Life Collective?

Tirzepatide is $259 a month at every dose, including the online visit, provider review, medication, supplies and shipping.

What is the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?

Semaglutide acts on one gut hormone receptor, GLP-1. Tirzepatide acts on two, GIP and GLP-1. In separate clinical trials of the brand-name versions, tirzepatide produced greater average weight loss, but your provider chooses based on your history, goals and side effects.

Can I switch from semaglutide to tirzepatide?

Possibly. Tell your provider in your online visit or message your care team. Your provider decides whether to switch and what dose to start, since doses are not interchangeable.

Is compounded tirzepatide the same as brand-name tirzepatide?

No. Compounded tirzepatide is prepared by a state-licensed 503A pharmacy for an individual patient and is not FDA-approved.

Does tirzepatide affect birth control pills?

Yes, it can make birth control pills less effective for about 4 weeks after starting and after each dose increase. Ask your provider about a backup method.

What tirzepatide doses do you offer?

From 2.5 mg up to 15 mg weekly, at one price of $259 a month. Your provider sets and adjusts the dose.
