Important safety information
- Commonly reported effects include flushing, nausea, headache, injection-site stinging and a feeling of chest tightness, especially if injected quickly.
- The nasal spray can cause nasal irritation or a runny nose.
- The FDA has received reports of reactions to NAD+ injections made with ingredients not suitable for sterile use, which is why prescriptions are filled only by state-licensed pharmacies.
- Compounded medications are prepared by a state-licensed 503A pharmacy for an individual patient. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are dispensed.
- Injections go under the skin with a small needle, following the written directions that come with your prescription. Common effects include redness, stinging or a small bump where you inject. Never share or reuse needles, and use a sharps container.
